Some Knowledge of Machining

What are the commonly used equipment, machining processes, production types, and precautions in machining? Below, we will provide a detailed introduction to these topics, providing a deeper understanding of large-scale machining.

1. Commonly Used Equipment in Machining

These include digital milling machines, digital profile grinders, digital lathes, EDM machines, external cylindrical grinders, internal cylindrical grinders, and other equipment. These machines can perform turning, milling, planing, and grinding of parts, achieving machining accuracies up to 2µm.

2. Machining Processes

The machining process includes the transportation and storage of raw materials, production preparation, roughing, part machining and heat treatment, and

product assembly and commissioning. Machining can change the shape, size, and properties of raw materials to produce finished products that meet specific requirements. This process, also called a process, consists of one or several sequential steps.

3. Machining Production Types

In machining, production types can generally be divided into three categories:

Single-piece production: This involves the production of a single part, with minimal duplication.

Batch production: It is the production of identical parts in batches.

Mass production: When the production volume of a product is large, it is necessary to repeat the production of a part frequently.

When the process of a part is planned, the processing methods, equipment, tools, blanks and technical requirements used are different due to the different production types of the parts.

4. Precautions for machining

(1) To facilitate the machining operation, try to minimize unnecessary bending and tiptoeing.

(2) Positioning should be accurate and reliable to prevent vibration and errors.

(3) The movement direction of the equipment operating part and the movement direction of the operated part must comply with the specified requirements and be simply marked.

(4) Necessary interlocking mechanisms should be set to prevent uncoordinated movements during operation that may cause danger.

(5) The structure and arrangement of the handle, handwheel and button must meet the requirements. Generally, the start button should be installed in the casing and equipped with a protective ring to prevent accidental touch. The shaft should be equipped with an automatic release device to prevent the handwheel and handle from injuring people.
